The Questions We Carry Before We Understand
The Girl Child II: Bewildered Innocence explores the emotional space between childhood curiosity and the uncertainty of growing. It represents a moment where the world is still being discovered, where questions emerge, and identity begins to take shape.
Created through reclaimed materials, the artwork reflects the belief that overlooked things can carry extraordinary value. Materials that once served ordinary purposes are transformed into a visual story about resilience, imagination, and possibility.
The work speaks about the experiences of young girls navigating their journeys of self-discovery — carrying dreams, emotions, questions, and potential that deserve recognition and nurturing.
Through sustainable creativity, Bewildered Innocence invites viewers to reflect on childhood, identity, opportunity, and the responsibility to create spaces where every child can grow, imagine, and flourish.
Materials Used
This artwork was created using reclaimed everyday materials including glass bottles, plastic film packaging, fabric remnants, metal crown bottle caps, plastic bottle cap rings, and aluminium beverage cans. Each material carries a previous life and purpose, yet through creative transformation they become part of a new narrative exploring renewal, sustainability, and the hidden beauty within overlooked objects.

Potential Deserves To Be Seen
The Girl Child series explores childhood, imagination, identity, and growth through the relationship between sustainability and creative transformation.
By working with reclaimed materials, I challenge the idea that value exists only in what is new. Materials, like people, can carry hidden stories waiting to be discovered.
Bewildered Innocence represents a stage of becoming — a moment filled with curiosity, uncertainty, dreams, and endless possibility.
The work is a reminder that every child deserves the freedom to imagine, create, learn, and become everything they are capable of.
