Story Behind The Work

The Princess They Forgot

The Forgotten Princess tells the story of a figure once overlooked, discarded, and left behind. Like many of the materials used to create her, she was considered insignificant, unwanted, and easily forgotten.

Cast aside and buried beneath neglect, her value remained unseen. Yet beneath the dust, silence, and rejection, something precious still existed. Her story is not one of defeat but of survival.

Through reclaimed materials, the artwork transforms what was discarded into something powerful and luminous. The princess becomes a symbol of individuals whose worth has been overlooked, misjudged, or ignored by society.

The limited palette of black, silver, and white reflects her journey. Black represents hardship and obscurity. Silver symbolizes resilience, strength, and rediscovered value. White speaks to renewal, hope, and transformation.

The Forgotten Princess reminds viewers that value does not disappear because it is unrecognized. Sometimes greatness simply waits to be rediscovered.

Artist Reflection

Worth Does Not Disappear In The Dirt

The Forgotten Princess emerged from a simple thought: many things are discarded before their value is fully understood.

The same is true for people, dreams, ideas, and even materials. What society overlooks may still carry beauty, purpose, and extraordinary potential.

By transforming discarded materials into this portrait, I wanted to create a visual reminder that worth is not defined by neglect, rejection, or circumstance.

The princess shines not because she was always celebrated, but because she survived being forgotten.
